A video for Papa!

Hey Dad! We took a video of Ella watching the video of you so you could see how excited she was. We took it the second time around, so she was a little more focused. The first time was a lot of giggling and jumping. Sorry we missed that one! Hope you enjoy. Thanks for the video, Papa!! She loved it.

I did it!!

Todd and the girls were there at the finish line when I came through. It was the coolest feeling. They shake your hand as you cross the finish line, and then put the medal around your neck. It was a little depressing when the first place marathoner came in about three minutes after me, though... :)

Todd watched the girls while I ran, and even took them to a couple of mile markers to wave and cheer me on. It was awesome! Ella was pretty upset when I left. They waited at the 10 mile marker for me to run by, and when I did Ella came running out onto the course to give me a big hug, and started running after me. It was so sweet!

Yesterday we went to Akron and I finished the Roadrunner Half-Marathon!! What a rush!! It was so much fun. The weather was perfect and it was really exciting. Today I feel like I got hit by a bus, but it was totally worth it. I can't wait to do it again. Well, I can probably wait a few months. :) It was harder then I thought. Most of the course was uphill, including the last mile. But I did the whole thing without walking, so I was pretty proud of myself.

Our Dancing Machine!

We recently got Disney Princess Sing Along Songs at the Library. It has three songs at the end where it shows kids dancing to the song. Now it is Ella's favorite thing to do. Everyday she goes up to her room and gets a dancing skirt on, and then she asks me to put on the dancing songs. And then she dances her little heart out to all three songs. It is so cute! I was able to get some of it on video before she noticed that I had the camera. :)

Kids say the darndest things!

So I took both the girls to the Verizon store a couple of days ago in a fruitless attempt to get a new phone. There was one guy working there, and after 45 minutes of sitting around waiting for him to finish with the person he was helping (who, I would like to add, came in after me with no kids in tow) I was just about ready to walk out the door. Ella had been telling me for about 10 minutes that it was 'time to go to a new store', and I kept telling her to wait just a few more minutes. Finally, after her latest, "We don't need to wait a few more minutes, Mommy, we can go to new store now" - and me responding, "You are being so patient- 5 more minutes, okay?" She suddenly yells at me, "OH! Look, Mommy, quick! Our car is leaving and there aren't any people in it!!"
Okay. Point taken. :)

Top 6 Reasons Why We Love Moose!!

6. She has the cutest chubby thighs I have ever seen.
5. She has a quiet cry... (can I count that twice??) When she is sad, she does this funny grunting noise that Ella likes to imitate.
4. She loves to talk. Loud and long for all to hear!!
3. She blows great raspberries, especially when she is mad.
2. When she cries, her eyebrows turn bright red!
1. She is the sweetest baby in the world, and we are so happy that she is ours!

Preschool time!!

Well, my big girl started preschool today! She was so excited. Right before we left she ran upstairs and got her backpack. So I asked if I could take her picture, and she immediately ran over to the door and said, "Preschool!" She kept giggling as I was walking her up to the door. We dropped her off, and then I took Molly home and laid her down for a nap. She woke up exactly 5 minutes before we had to leave to pick Ella up! It was wonderful!! When I asked Ella what she learned, she said "ABC's". Then she told me they read a book about animals. I asked her if she had a snack, and she said, "Apples and cookies!" She didn't want to leave. I am excited about all that she is going to learn, but I can't believe that my baby is growing up so fast!!
