Yesterday we had some friends over to make hair clips. While we were busy chatting, the kids were outside playing. When we went out to check on them, we found them sitting on top of Brooke's car. We thought it was pretty funny. Needless to say, we ran for the camera.

Olentangy Indian Caves

Today we went to the Olentangy Indian Caves by our home. We were so excited to find this treasure only 15 minutes from our house! It was so neat. They are these deep underground caverns that were used by the Wyandotte Indians hundreds of years ago.

It took Todd a little while to get up the courage to go down the steps... I'm ashamed to say I had a good laugh at that at his expense. But once he did, he was glad he made the trek!!

They also had a little petting zoo, a replica of a historical town, miniature golf, and a gift shop. We ended up having a great time.

Molly's first solid food!

Molly has been showing a LOT of interest in food, so we decided to give rice cereal a try tonight. Lately she has been watching intently every bite of food that goes into our mouth. The rice cereal wasn't quite as popular as I thought it would be, though. She kept giving me a look that said- What are you putting in my mouth?? Ella kept telling her that she was "so lucky" to get baby food!

I'm a big girl now!!

Well, it has been a long road, but we have finally made the transition into big girl panties!! We are so proud of her, and she is so proud of herself! I woke her up the other day and told her that her diapers were all gone, and that now she needs to start going on the big girl potty. She didn't like the sound of that. But I stuck her new panties on her, and within 2 minutes, we had had an accident. Then she asked, "Can I have my diaper now?" And I told her no, that they were all gone. She said, "No, they're in the bucket!" (Where they used to be). I told her that there were no more in there. So she said, "Can we go to the store?" I asked why, and she said- "To get more diapers!" It was pretty funny. But we have had success since then, and she is so proud to be a big girl now!!

My little Mommy

Who knew an empty swimming pool could be so much fun?? Ever since our pool party her favorite place to hang out is inside that pool. This morning she took her doll out there and was reading books to her. It was so cute. After a few minutes she would strap her baby into the stroller and push it around the yard. And just in case anybody noticed... Ella dresses herself! She is just as attentive to Molly. Whenever Molly wakes up from nap and starts to cry, Ella tells me to go get her because she is crying. This morning when I said, "She is?" (She actually was screaming, I'm sure the neighbors heard it), she said, "Yeah, do you hear her? Listen!" Such a little mommy!

At the zoo

We went to the zoo yesterday, it was so nice outside. Ella had a great time. She wanted to see 'Mufasa' (The Lion King), and 'Rajah' (Aladdin) and the 'crocodile (ca-dah-dile) from Peter Pan'. It was a lot of fun to enjoy one of Todd's few days off as a family. Ella fell asleep almost the second she got into her car seat.

Molly's boo boo!!

Molly had her 4 month appointment yesterday and it went great! She is really growing up. Ella gets very protective when her baby sister has to get her shots. But Molly was such a good girl. She only cried right when she got poked, and as soon as I picked her up, she gave the nurse a huge grin through her tears. We love that little girl!!

Pool Time

Today was such a beautiful day we decided to get the pool out and have some friends over to play. They had a great time. Ella loved running and jumping into the pool. She also loved squirting her little sister in the face with a squirt gun. Apparently, as long as you say "Sorry, Molly" afterwards, it makes it okay. :)

Molly

Molly is such a sweet little baby. She will be four months old on Thursday. We have been so blessed. She is a great napper. We're still working on the waking up 5 times a night, but I can't blame that all on her. I go to her as soon as she starts to fuss. She has me wrapped around her little finger! She is always so happy. She loves to smile and coo at everyone, and the great thing is that everyone thinks she does it just for them! She rarely ever cries, and when she does it usually means she has put up with Ella for as long as she can. We love our little Mollypop!

Sisters

Ella really loves her baby sister. We have to be careful most of the time because sometimes she loves her just a little too much. She loves to kiss and squeeze her, or to pick her up and hold her. When she is done, she just drops Molly or pushes her off her lap. Most of the time Molly is very patient with her big sister. But lately she has been looking at me with a look that says, "Save me!"

Ella gets into Mommy's makeup..

Ella has recently stopped taking naps.. (Poor mom!!) But I usually make her have a quiet time in her bedroom for a while to save my sanity. Recently she discovered Mom's makeup under the bathroom cupboard. She was so proud to show me her "Princess face" after nap.

Princess Party

Ella LOVES princesses right now. We have princess toys, princess movies, princess snacks... they have pretty much taken over our home! She even knows her colors by the color of their dresses. Cinderella blue, Aurora pink, Belle yellow, Snow White... its pretty funny. Her friend Kate also loves princesses, so we had a Princess Party for the girls. They had a great time eating and decorating pink cupcakes, watching princess movies and dancing to music.
