Just for Laughs

I believe that 75% of my children's sole existence is to make me laugh. And lucky for me, my girls accomplish that goal on a daily basis. As I have mentioned before, Ella is very aware of bums. A few weeks ago as we were getting into the tub I told her that her bum was stinky. She told me very matter of factly that- you can't change your bum, Mom. How very true! Today she told me after I patted her bum to get her moving, Don't touch my bum, Mom. Its really stinky.

And here's my Molly moment- Today in the bathtub we were playing with a little squirting duckie (ducky?). Anyway, Molly wanted a turn to hold it, so I filled it with water and gave it to her, after which she proceeded to squirt the water full blast into her face. Okay, I admit thats one of those things you have to see to really appreciate, like watching someone fall down or walk into a glass door (Sorry, I think those things are really funny. I have a stupid sense of humor.) But anyway, I'm still laughing picturing Molly's face after she squirted herself.

I love my goofy girls!

Disney Princesses on Ice

On Friday we took Ella to Disney on Ice. She was in heaven! She was really excited to see Cinderella. They did a little summary of most of the princesses before the intermission. Ella was really concerned because they hadn't shown Cinderella yet. Then they announced that Cinderella would be coming out after the break. Of course she waited until the end of intermission to tell us she had to go to the bathroom. So we start to walk out, and the lights turned out, and she yells- I can hold it! And runs back to her seat. She sat there wiggling for about two minutes then says, I have to go potty! She didn't want to miss a minute. She kept saying to me- Mom, can you believe that we saw Cinderella skating? It was so much fun.

My little helper

Molly has discovered the dishwasher. I think she has some kind of sixth sense, because no matter where she is in the house, as soon as I start doing dishes she races into the kitchen to get into the dishwasher. She's REALLY good at unloading it onto the kitchen floor. She climbed into it the other day and was so proud of herself. She is becoming such a busy little bee. We are really enjoying our little girl!

Please tell me its a phase...

Well, Ella has been going through this interesting, if not akward and little embarrassing, phase lately. She has this thing for 'bums', as she calls them. It started with her constantly coming up behind me and trying to tickle my behind. So we had a talk, actually many many talks, about how people don't like to have their bums tickled and she to keep her hands to herself. Well, a couple of days ago we were at they gym. I usually go down to the locker room before picking up the girls from the daycare, but realized the other day after I had already gotten them that I left something in the locker. So I went down to get it, and as we were walking out I noticed Ella was lagging behind. I tried to hurry her along and then noticed that she was staring at something. So I asked her what she was looking at. She looked at me with these huge eyes and said- "All the bums!" Needless to say, that was her first and last trip to the locker room!!
