Okay, so the big day is in 4 weeks. I have been training for a half-marathon for months, and I can't believe I only have 4 weeks left to be ready!! I have been revamping my iPod to include great workout music for my run. It is amazing how a great song can give you a burst of energy! (For the next three minutes anyway!) So I was wondering if anyone can give me any ideas for some good songs to add to my music. Something that will give me energy to keep on running!! (And running, and running and running...)

The "Baldy"
Well, ever since my darling three-year-old was a baby, she has twirled her hair as a comfort mechanism. What we thought was adorable when she was little has turned into a huge bald area in the back of her head. And trust me, she didn't have much there to begin with. I noticed how bad it had gotten the other morning, and I said- "Ella! Your hair is all gone!!" She looked at me with a startled look on her face and quickly put her hand on her head to feel. She laughed and said- "No, Mommy, there's stuff up there!" Being completely unsure about what to do, but also quite certain that I better do something before she is completely bald, we went to the store today to buy a swimcap. Or should I say, 'the magic princess hat that makes your hair grow'. She was very excited about the idea at first, but I'm not sure it will make it through the night... but any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Okay, so these pictures aren't neccessarily a highlight from our trip, but they are just so cute I had to post them! Molly is such a big girl in the tub now! She loves taking baths with her big sister.
We spent one day at the Aquarium. It was raining that day, so I think all of Philadelphia decided to go the same day! But it was so cool. All Ella could talk about was the sharks. They had this really cool tunnel that went right through the shark tank so they were swimming all around you.
Well, I finally figured out how to organize all our vacation pics so now I can post some of them! We had a great time in Pennsylvania. Todd's mom took us to to Amish country, and we went to a train museum. It was pretty neat, and Ella loved it.

Camping in the Poconos
Well, we have finally had a little more excitement in our lives, so its time for a new post!! We just got back from vacation, and we had a great time. We went to Pennsylvania to visit Todd's parents (post to follow shortly), and we also got to go camping with my mom and Isaac for a couple of days in the Poconos. My mom messed up her foot and had to go to the hospital, we broke one (almost two) propane lanterns, and we got rained on... but we had a great time! Ella was in heaven. She got to sleep in a Strawberry Shortcake sleeping bag in a tent with her Grandmom and "Uncle Ikes", played in the water and the dirt, didn't have to take a bath, and got pee in the dirt 'like Shrek'. What more could a little girl ask for? Not to mention her thoroughly complete diet of s'mores, skittles, and chips. Don't judge me too harshly, I am pretty sure she had a granola bar at some point. :) She bawled when it was time to go home, but I think Molly was ready to be rid of the place! All in all we had a great time, and hope to make it a yearly trek.

Someday my Prince will come...
Well, I guess it's true... Beauty REALLY does lie in the eyes of the beholder. Today I was in the Customer service area at Wal-Mart, and all of the the sudden Ella gasps and says, "Mom! It's Prince Charming!" And I said, "What? Where?" And she said, "Right there! Its Prince Charming!" So I turned around, and right behind us is this guy in tight jeans, cowboy boots, wife beater, and long hair. And not the attractive long hair. The kind of scruffy hillbilly long hair. She looked up at me with this huge grin on her face, and I just had to laugh. Hopefully one day she will laugh at this too (assuming her taste changes in the next 20 years...).
